Mountains over the clouds…

Painted during quarantine from Los Angeles, dreaming of the West Texas and New Mexico skies. In homage to our patron saint of desert holiness, Georgia O’Keeffe.

The original was painted on paper dyed with avocado pits, for a warm pinkish sand color to the skies. The paint is lime paint, a wonderful mineral paint I started using while living in San Francisco. This print captures all the details of the tiny original painting, but brings it to the scale one wants to bask in on a living room or bedroom wall.
